We’ll thank God for mum’s and families, and be giving the ladies a present…. Everyone welcome for an hour of praise and worship, fun and games, followed by coffee and maybe even Simnel cake.

Pancake Party 2010:
Tuesday 16th February 4:30 – 7:30pm @ All Saints Church

The Pancake Party is the biggest family event of the year in the Parish and we’re hoping that this year will be our biggest ever. There will activities for primary school aged kids, a play area for under 5s and a cafe area for those just wanting a nice sit down and a chat. Oh and we’ll be cooking over 500 pancakes so we’ll please do come along and help us eat them.

For the kids activities the evening will be split into three different time slots:

• First we’ll have action stations featuring face painting, cake decorating and different craft stations.
• Then we had the team game challenge where  teams will battle it out across our series of challenges.
• And finally we end with the ever popular bouncy castle.

There will be plenty to do for young and old alike so please do come and join us.

Starchasers is back on Sunday 10th January!

Starchasers is our parish wide Sunday morning club for 6-11 year olds. Our aim is to tell the children about God in a creative & engaging manner – and to have a lot of fun too.
Each session features a range of activities including games, crafts, bible stories, creative prayer and small group time. And at the end of each term we award prizes for the kids who’ve earned the most stars.

This term we’ll be looking at John’s gospel and in particular Jesus’ “I am…” statements. We’ll look how Jesus describes Himself and see what they tell us about Him and His mission.

The dates for Starchasers this term are below and each session runs from 10.45am to 12.15pm.

Superheroes Party 2009

The Superheroes party is a party organised by Starchasers on the 31st October each year and anyone who is aged 6 to 11 years old is invited to join us.

Come dressed as your favourite Superhero as there will be a prizes for the best costumes (as judged by our distinguished panel). As well as the fancy dress parade we’ll also have Games, Team challenges, Superheroes feast, Kids talk and more.

The Superheroes party is at St. Andrew’s Church and runs from 4.30pm to 7.00pm.

Church on the Corner is to be transformed into a Gallery space on the weekend of 22nd-23rd October, and you are invited to contribute your photographs. There is even a prize worth £350 on offer!

Taking a picture makes us look at the things around us in a different way; seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, or capturing the essence of a beautiful place. Have you had a moment where you’ve lifted your eyes up from the daily grind and captured a unique or surprising image? Enter your photographs exploring the theme ‘I lift my eyes up’ to be displayed in a gallery at Church on the Corner on 22nd and 23rd October

THE GAP is back on Monday 21st September and we’re kicking the term off with a Beach Party! Come join us and celebrate the last day of summer – 6.00-7.30pm @ St. Andrew’s Church.

THE GAP is a club to support those who are either side of the gap between primary and secondary school. It meets every other Monday at St. Andrew’s Church and it’s for anyone aged 11-14 years old.
The aim is to look at what Christianity is all about. We use music, films and other media to see what people say about different subjects then we look at the Bible to see what it says about them. We also ask what we think about them and what that means to us.

Scorpion football starts again on Wednesday 23rd September. 3.30pm to 5.00pm @ St. Andrew’s School.

Scorpion football is a fun, fast-paced version of the game that promotes teamwork and skill. The first team to score is the winner and the winning team stays on until they are beaten.
Scorpion football is open to 7-11 year olds and takes place on Wednesday afternoons at St. Andrew’s school during term time. Teams are assigned on the day so you can just turn up by yourself and play.
The sessions are run by FA qualified coaches.
