Bemerton Soul 2011 have just released their itinerary for the week and we can exclusively reveal it here.
This document informs us of the key things that will be happening during the week and what you can pray for over the next seven days.
We recommend that you keep a copy within easy reach so you know what the brave travellers are up to each day and can pray for them.
We expect the explorers to touch down in Bingfield Park at 2.30pm tomorow and will bring you the latest reports from their first day tomorrow.
Itinerary for the week:
MONDAY
Youth - Pray for good initial contacts with the young people we meet. Pray that they would feel comfortable with us and want to go on the bus.
Kids – Pray for us as a team of leaders. Pray we’d get to know each other and work together well from Day 1. Pray for Michelle & Ruth as they teach us the song and get the kids to write their own. Steve is doing the talk today.
TUESDAY
Youth – Pray for good conversations with the young people. Ask God to help the leaders feel confident about sharing their faith with the young people.
Kids – Pray for the kids today. Pray for our relationships with them and with each other. Pray especially for team time and relationships within teams. Jess is doing the talk today.
WEDNESDAY
Youth – Pray for safety and good relationships between the young people and leaders but also between the young people themselves.
Kids – Pray for the craft team today, lead by Bee. This is a great place for conversation and to really get to know the kids better. Alexandra is doing the talk today.
THURSDAY
Youth – Thank God for all that He has done this week. Pray for energy for the leaders.
Kids – Messy water day today! Pray for safety! Pray for the drama team of Corin, Audrey, Helen and others. Bee is doing the talk today.
FRIDAY
Youth – Pray for the young people we have met this week to come along to the party tonight. Also pray for the youth work Rach is developing on the Bemerton.
Kids – Pray for all the kids we’ve met this week and the relationships formed. Pray for the relationships with the kids parents and families at the BBQ. Steve is doing the talk today
Friday evening – Loads! Our big end of week celebration. Pray for good weather, people to come and good conversations. And energy for the team at the end of a long week!
SATURDAY
Praise God for the week that has just gone and pray for ongoing relationships with the kids, young people and adults we’ve met. We’re hoping this is just the start…
SUNDAY
Bemerton Soul Sunday at the churches. A chance to praise God and thank Him for the week that’s gone. Also a chance to invite the families we met to the All-age services at All Saints & St. Andrew’s. Pray for people to come, for those leading the services and that people would receive a warm welcome.
