Bemerton Soul 2011

Bemerton Soul is back and it’s bigger than ever!

This year Bemerton Soul will run for five days from Monday 8th August to Friday 12th August and we have activities for kids and young people.

The kids club is for those aged 5-11 and will take place at Bingfield Park on the Bemerton Estate. Our theme this year is ‘A New Country’. Each day we’ll have a range of activities including games, sports and arts & crafts. Kids will be put into teams and the teams will be competing for points with prizes given out on Friday night. We’ll also be looking at the Bible to find out more about a new country that Jesus tells us about.

For young people aged 11+ we have a double decker youth bus. It will be parked by the side of Bingfield Park and is very easy to spot. Inside will be Xbox 360s, laptops, a massive screen for playing games on and a chill out zone.

Bemerton Soul is free and is open to all local kids and young people. For your child to attend you need to complete a permission form and they will be available at reception on the day.

And we’ll end our Bemerton Soul week with a Friday night celebration to which all local people are invited.

There will be a barbecue and fun and activities for people of all ages. For example -  sports, crafts, a treasure hunt and face painting. This year we have the great privilege of a performance by the London Vocal Project choir and the children from the afternoon club will be giving a drumming performance with the Psalm Drummers.
