Bemerton Soul
For the past five years we have been involved in running a project on the Dover Estate (off Essex Road) called Dover Soul. This project has been lead by people from Church on the Corner and New River Church and has grown and grown. We thought it was such a great project that we would like to bring it to the Bemerton Estate in our Parish and so Bemerton Soul was born!
Bemerton Soul is a club for kids aged 5-11 at Bingfield Park on the Bemerton Estate. We’re going to be meeting from 2.30pm to 5.00pm on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September.
Each day we’re going to be providing a range of activities including games, sports, arts & crafts and a nature trail. Kids will be put into teams who will be competing for treasure and prizes will be given out on Friday. During the three days we’ll also be learning about why we’re Jesus’ treasure with Bible stories. On Friday evening we’re hoping to have a barbecue on Bingfield Park to which adults and kids are invited – more details to follow.
Bemerton Soul is free and is open to all local kids. Hope to see you there!
